Child & Teen Therapy

Virtual therapy for children (aged 9+) & teens across Nova Scotia supporting anxiety, OCD, stress, burnout, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, self-worth, ADHD, Autism and personal growth. Therapy is tailored to your child's needs, experiences, and goals within a supportive, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming space.

Child & Teen Therapy

Children and adolescents experience stress, anxiety, grief, overwhelm, and emotional challenges too, even when they do not always have the language to explain what is happening.

Therapy can help young people feel understood, supported, and more connected to themselves and the people around them.

Sessions are adapted to the child’s developmental level, interests, communication style, and emotional needs. Some children/teens express themselves through conversation, while others communicate more comfortably through creativity, activities, storytelling, visuals, or play-based approaches.

Our work with children and teens is grounded in the understanding that behaviour is communication. Rather than focusing on “fixing behaviour,” therapy aims to understand what may be happening underneath the behaviour and support emotional regulation, connection, and coping skills.
Child & Teen Therapy May Support:
  • Anxiety, panic and worries
  • OCD & intrusive thoughts
  • Identity exploration & belonging
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
