Our Services
At Access Therapy Nova Scotia, we approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens. This means we recognize how past experiences — big or small — can shape how you feel, think, relate, and move through the world. We prioritize safety, choice, and collaboration, and we move at a pace that feels right for you.
We are also a neurodiversity-affirming practice. We understand that brains work in different ways, and that differences are not deficits. Therapy can be a space to better understand your nervous system, reduce burnout, build practical supports, and navigate identity with self-compassion.

Insurance
Many insurance companies provide coverage for counselling services. If your plan includes coverage for psychotherapy, counselling therapy, or clinical counselling, you may be eligible for reimbursement.
We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm your specific coverage details.
Our clinic is able to direct bill to:

TELUS Health
(depending on your individual insurance plan)
Many other insurance providers (such as Desjardins, Canada Life, Manulife, and Sun Life Financial) may also provide coverage for our services, even if direct billing is not available.
In these situations, clients pay for the session upfront and then submit their receipt to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
